Intel Reader: Although too expensive, yet makes reading a fun

Intel_Reader

image: Intel Reader

That’s not a luxury gadget as it may seem, there is no question of my opinion in this regard, that’s how Intel presented it; a reader for visually impaired and dyslexic people. Powered by Atom inside, it combines “Text to speech engine” and a camera. So, with the reader, you can take a picture of a written text, convert it to audio and listen while viewing the text. The audio can be exported as well.

War Craft 3 is one of the most popular games around the world but it has some known issues on windows vista such as the one mentioned in the title. But as soon as the installation was over and we tried to run the game, it gave us this error “Windows NT Not Supported”; it was quite a strange situation since we were running Vista and was giving us error of Windows NT. So, after some effort we found a way out, I want to share it with you.

Can iPhone 4G Come up with 5 Megapixel Camera

2009 has shown its wonders and it is about time 2010 starts revealing its colours. When talking of the expectations of 2010 iPhones 4G tops the list. Other possible features are the multi-core processor and a monstrous 64 GB flash memory. One factor that needs consideration is the coalition of the processor (of the device) and the multicore chip.

The most recent rumor about iPhone is its possibility of installing a 5 Megapixel camera in the newer version. It is reported that Apple has ordered Omni Vision to produce a 45-50 million pixel CMOS sensor. This relates to the rumor. Even though this has not been officially confirmed and Omni Vision has always been reliable but it can not be confirmed until Mr. Schiller or Jobs brings it to centre stage.

Release of GV Mobile and iPhone going Brain Dead

GV Mobile

iTunes application Store got an addition in April called GV Mobile. Other Google voice applications soon followed it, resulting in the removal of all Google voice applications from Application store apart from the rejection of Google’s official voice application. It was bothersome for many but the users know how to turn things their way. GV Mobile is available on Cydia for free but only for Jailbroken iPhones.

Yes, that’s right, now we have this gadget which seems to provide all the needs which one can have as far as external USB devices are concerned. So, anyone having a bundle of gadgets but no extra USB ports can take this seriously. The device will take away decent $70 from your pocket.

I am not sure if so many USB’s are actually required by an individual but you can feedback us at our mail address if you feel interested. The use of such a gadget can be in places where someone needs to write to many devices at the same time. So, I won’t be using it unless I am doing some sort of pirated business writing bulk of DVDs at one go.

EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES OF 2009

Here is a list of technologies of 2009 that can transform the way we live our lives.

Traveling-Wave Reactor

Using atomic reactors to produce electricity is another method. The problems associated with it massive and costly as well. Enriching uranium and opening the reactor to refuel it are some of the most burdensome jobs associated to it. Removal of used fuel and reprocessing it to recover usable materials have similar problems. The problems or running a nuclear plan do not end here, other risks involved are production of nuclear weapons and environmental pollution.

A group of scientist from Intellectual Ventures have designed a reactor called a “traveling-wave reactor” that requires small amounts of enriched fuel, whose atoms can easily be split in chain reaction. The race to make new and better reactors hard to win and in such a competitive environment a privately funded research company has come up with this design.

Jo-Zero Robot with impressive agility !

The area where the robots lag is their motion and flexibility. Their motion is quite slow and choppy and one can clearly define it as a typical ‘mechanical motion’. Honda’s Asimo released earlier was no exception in this regard. Although this robot could perform some impressive functions like dancing, climbing, running etc (That’s why it costs about $1 million) but the element of human-like continuous motion ,without jerks, still seems to be a missing link.
