Google Phone: Better than Apple’s iPhone? – Launching Next Month
Few days back there was a post by Google in which it was mentioned that they were doling out a new mobile device which will run on Android 2.1 to their employees to test the new device and help improve it before launching the product.
This is indeed the much talked about new Google Phone by Google, following is the information that we know about it till now:
- Manufactured by HTC
- Runs on Android 2.1
- Virtual keyboard
- Two mics – The mic on the back of the phone helps eliminate noise.
- High resolution OLED Touch-Screen
- Voice-to-text feature to dictate email
- Powered by SnapDragon chip
In looks Google Phone is slightly different in two ways from iPhone, firstly it is said that it is thinner than iPhone and secondly it has a larger camera then that in iPhone. Some of the employees who were given the phone said that it’s a pretty looking, and blazingly fast device. Rumors were that the Google Phone might be data-only device but it’s not the case, the Google Phone will be a GSM device and will come out unlocked.
It is said that the Phone will be available in the market for sale in January 2010. We do not know how the Phone actually looks like, but it is said that it is apparently a HTC Passion handset customized to Google’s requirements. No one can claim that actually how it looks like.
A Phone launched by Google which is much faster and prettier than Apple’s iPhone – tells us what you think about it?
