Acer to roll out ultra think frameless notebook
Thin and efficient, that’s a definition of an ideal notebook if you ask public. Surely, people want smart electronics in their hands. For the same reason, Acer is developing an extremely thin notebook by using a new prototype design that’s different than the traditional design which is in use today. The design changes aim to make a notebook that would be ultra thin and at the same time provide the same efficiency as the traditional notebooks.
Acer is likely to adopt a Corning’s reinforced glass substrate and then put color on its back to make it function like a notebook cover.
The design of this notebook would not use any frame which is quite a new concept. This notebook is expected to come to market at the end of June 2010. If this happens, Acer would make a history and a new race would begin.
