Frings iPhone App making Video Calls possible on iPhone

Conbination of iPhones and video calls seemed impossible but now it is reality. Thanks to an Israel based mobile VoIP service provider called Fring that has not only made it possible for iPhone but also for Nokia smartphone and iPod Touch users. These calls are made using WiFi service.

Although Video calls have been made possible for iPhone but the true two-way video screaming is only possible on Nokia smartphones. iPhone can not enjoy the facility because its camera is installed at the back which means an iPhone user can not look at the screen during a video call. So they can not point the camera at their face while looking at the screen.

Furthermore using Fring video calls can be made not only to Fring users but also Skype and gtalk users and many other SIP services.

Even though it is not best suited for iPhone users but still it is a stirring progress. While launching this application the company wrote the following statement on their website,

"This video feature is embedded within the fring application that enables free voice calls from the iPhone and iPod Touch to other fring users, Skype and GTalk buddies as well as friends on regular phone lines via Skype-Out and hundreds of popular SIP services. fring users can live chat, update profiles, share files and talk with friends from several Instant Messaging services like MSN, AIM, GoogleTalk and Skype, in addition to interacting with popular online social networks like Twitter, all from one integrated fring contact list"

The most attractive feature is that it is available for free on Appleā€™s Application Store.
