Here is good news for Windows 7 users; Microsoft has introduced two new user experiences “Aero Shake” and “Aero Peek”. These features will satisfy the Windows users, who demanded flashier graphical user interface after the launch of Windows Aero GUI, and for interaction want Natural User Interface (NUI) model.

With Aero Shake you can quickly and instantly minimize all the non-active open windows by just shaking the application window and fives the power in your hand. When you want to bring the Desktop back to its previous state you just need to shake the windows again. To use Aero Shake for minimizing all inactive windows to taskbar you need to:

Just Click and Hold on the window’s title bar (that you want to work on).

Then move the window to left and right shaking it a few times.

This is one of the feature which supports movement of mouse.

For more on how Aero Shake works see the demo bellow:

Another technology by Windows 7 is “Aero Peek” a Superbar thumbnail preview; it allows users to quickly preview the Desktop by just using the mouse to hover over the absolutely right end of the taskbar, making all active and inactive windows transparent. It also support full screen view preview on desktop, by hovering the mouse over the taskbar button of any open window and making the other open windows temporarily hidden. With this a new graphical thumbnail appears, and the windows can be preview in a small glass frame. “Aero Peek” also allows users to pin program permanently to Taskbar, this will make a mini-Start Menus where all the pinned items or most common destination and most common task are placed, know as Jump Lists. For more details on the “Aero Peek” watch the demo bellow:

Earlier in our post we told you about the Windows 7 feature of how you can pinned your most frequently used programs on the Taskbar for you to easily access them. By default, when users move their mouse pointer over these pinned, you will be able to have a quick thumbnail preview of all the running programs. Some of the users may find this feature very useful as with this you can conveniently execute the program which you use frequently. But some users may find this feature uncomfortable and want to make it disable.

So if you are one the users who want to disable this feature from showing on the Taskbar, you can easily do this with the help of some simple configuration to the Local Group policy Editor.

With Windows 7 Local Group Policy editor you can disable/enable the pinning of programs to Taskbar in Windows 7 and can enable/prohibit the Taskbar to display pinned programs. You just need to follow few steps:

In the Local Group Policy Editor:

Go to “Users Configuration”

Then go to “Administrative Templates”

Then on the left pane “Start Menu and Taskbar”

Then on the right pane look for “Remove pinned programs from the Taskbar”

Right click it and from the shortcut menu which will be prompted select “Edit”.

A configuration window will be prompted in the “Remove pinned programs from the Taskbar”, click the “Enabled” item.

Once you select this, “Pinned Programs” list will be removed from the Taskbar.

Now you cannot pin programs anymore to the Taskbar.

Now you just need to click “OK” and continue.

Close the Local Group policy Editor and restart your computer to activate the settings.

Hey guys are you bored and want to get rid of receiving Windows Genuine Advantage warnings on your Windows XP operating system. You don’t need to worry at all, just follow these simple steps using a quick registry fix and you can get rid of the program and its pop-ups. But be very careful while following the instruction, else your PC can be in trouble.

Steps How to Remove Windows Genuine Advantage From the Registry:

Step 1:

First thing you need to do is to click on “Start” button and then click “Run” icon.

Step 2:

In Run dialog box type “regedit” and click OK.

Now your register editor program will appear.

Step 3:

Navigate the following registry file:"MyComputer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify."

You can easily find the key by:

1. Clicking “My Computer”

Then “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”

Then “Software” folder

Then “Microsoft folder”

Which will guide you to the “Windows NT” folder

Then go to “Current Version” folder

Then by “WinLogon”

And in last “Notify” folder

Step 4:

Inside the “Notify” folder find the “WgaLogon” folder and right click it.

From there choose “Delete” option and left click it.

The program files have now been removed from the registry.

Step 5:

Now to make the changes work, restart the computer, the program must have be removed from the registry by now.

Things that need to be remembered:

By following the above steps, only the program will be deleted from the registry, which will stop it from functioning and no more annoying pop-up. However it won’t delete the entire Windows Genuine Advantage.

Follow the steps carefully, I you don’t understand anything then it’s better to contact a PC support company for assistance instead of doing it yourself because deleting wrong files from the registry can lead to system failure.

To simply remove WGA from notification watch below video:

Before Windows 7, it was difficult to choose what you should and shouldn’t add in Windows system tray. It is something that shows the status icons for various system elements like volume etc and the program running in the background like your anti-virus software. Earlier it was uncommon to have so many icons littered down on the toolbar. But Microsoft has made it easy for you to choose what you want to see on the Windows System Tray.

How to show more icons in the Windows 7 System Tray:

First click the small white arrow on the left edge of the System Tray.

There you’ll see system/program icons that are not configured for full-time appearance in the tray.

Now, click Customize.

Here you’ll see a list of Notification Area Icons (in Windows 7 it is termed as “System Tray Stuff”).

Click the drop down shown in front of icons, it will show three choices:

Show icon and notifications

Hide icon and notifications

Only show notifications

These are very simple and easy steps to understand. The good thing about this is that, whatever changes that you will make will appear immediately in the system tray, for you to know how the icons will look like in the tray; it’s kind of a preview before finalizing the changes. Now you just need to click OK and changes will be made permanently until you change them manually again.

you can make changes as you wish like if you don’t want Windows 7 Action Center icon cluttered on the Tray but you wish to be notified if any issue appear: so for the set it to “Only Show Notification”. And for example if you want your printer’s icon to be shown on the tray then it’s good to set it to “Sow icon and notification”.

Everything is in your hand, you decide and choose what should be and shouldn’t be there on the System Tray.

People who love to collect and store their favorite seasons, home videos etc on DVDs. What if your entire DVD collection is lost? Your dog ate al your seasons, or your kids scratched them by mistake, or any mishap happens to them!! You’ll be ending up with nothing in hand and all your precious and memorable data or things are gone…

A very simple solution to this problem is that to have a backup of all your DVDs before any mishap happens. “DVD Decrpter” a very popular application which copy an entire DVD onto your computer’s hard drive, and bypasses any copy protection mechanisms. But it has a drawback, as new copy protection algorithms are frequently being created, this application haven’t been updated since 2005. So it may cause some problem.

Well you don’t need to worry, we have another option for you, and that is “Free DVD”. It copy’s entire movie to your computer’s hard disk and removes all the traces of copy protection. The best thing about this application is that it does not require any installation, and is frequently updated.

Steps to how you copy a DVD movie on your computer’s hard disk:

Open your DVD drive, and place the DVD movie you wish copy

Then open the contents of the DVD using file explorer like “Windows Explorer”.

There will be a folder “VIDEO_TS”, copy this folder to any location on your hard drive

Now you need to Download the free version of “Free DVD “ not the Platinum, and run the application, no need to install it and it’s 44KB.

After running the Free DVD, select VIDEO_TS folder, the one you copied in your hard disk.

A message will be prompted, it will notify you about the restriction that will be removed.

Although there is no need of any adjustment in the setting, but if need arises go ahead and do it.

There will be “Free DVD!” button, press it and all the copy restriction from the movie will be removed.

Now if you desire to put this video on a DVD, for that you can use a program “DVD Shrink”. This program also removes the copy protection. But there is one problem that might occur while using DVD Shrink that it is over a year old program so it is possible that it won’t work with some DVDs.

But it is recommended that you use Free DVD first before DVD Shrink then all the problems will be resolved. The best thing about DVD Shrink is that it cuts down the size of the video so that it can fit in the normal DVD.

Download Free DVD for free. . .

Download DVD Shrink for free. . .

With Free DVD, backing up your DVDs is now easy. And now you can store lots of DVDs in a small place (your computer hard disk). Now DVDs won’t be lying around.

There has been number of file sharing services, but for that you need to host your file on a central server. That can be a bit risky and many people don’t want to host their file on central server which can be seen by others. Here is a solution, “iSendr” a free web service, which instantly transfers your file directly to your friend without using any server or software.

iSendr uses a very simple process and more reliable one and is not much different from direct file transfer process used in AIM and other similar IM protocol. How it works:

Visit the site http://isendr.com

Pick the file from your computer which you want to share.

Then give your friend a private link to download that file.

No need to upload your file to the server, iSendr will wait for your friend to click on the link and transfer the file directly.

Benefits of using iSendr:

You don’t need to have your file on the server for everyone to access no matter whether it is private link, it can be accessed.

Your file won’t be filling up the space on your server.

iSendr doesn’t upload the file on the server, once your friend clicks the link it can’t be used again.

iSendr encrypts the information, and for extra security it allows you protect the link vis password.
