<p>What exactly is AMOLED Technology? </p>

<p>AMOLED stands for Active Matrix OLED. They have been around for sometime and have been in use. They have been used in media players, cell phones etc. Its contrast ratio is almost 20 times higher than LVD.</p>
<p>Some of the positives and negatives of AMOLED are:</p>
<p>Advantages:</p>
<ol>
<li>They are thin and light weight</li>
<li>Consume less energy</li>
<li>Low Cost</li>
<li>Better image quality</li>
<li>They are rollable, easy storage when not in use</li>
</ol>
<p>Dis-Advantages:</p>
<ol>
<li>Not as bright as LCD display in direct sunlight</li>
<li>They are prone to material degradation.</li>
</ol>
