It can be directly access from the lock screen or your iPhone

Just tap and hold the status bar to launch it

Now you can instantly take pictures

On iPhone 3GS, the latest version Snappy 2.0 allows you to not only take pictures but also supports video recording. Some features of latest version include:

MMS for MMS enable devices

Geo tapping

Faster image writing

More complete handling of device orientation

Apple’s new iPhone OS 4.0, which is expected to be launching very soon in June, comes with some exciting features, the most important of them is multi-tasking and it’s also will allow third party iPhone application o run in background.

An insider from Apple said that “people with a proven track record in predicting Apple’s technological advances” claimed that in iPhone OS 4.0 Apple has developed a “full-on solution” to multitasking.

An insider from Apple claimed:

People with a proven track record in predicting Apple’s technological advances tell AppleInsider that the Cupertino-based company has developed a "full-on solution" to multitasking on the iPhone OS but offered no specifics on how the technology would optimize resource conservation and battery life — two of the most critical issues surrounding the matter, alongside security.

From a user-facing perspective, Apple plans to deliver a multi-tasking manager that leverages interface technology already bundled with its Mac OS X operating system, according to those same people. It was requested that specifics be withheld at this time, as the iPhone Software 4.0 remains under development and reportedly has a quite ‘way to go’ before it’s ready for prime time.

iPhone OS 4.0 and next generation iPhone-iPhone 4G, are slotted to be released in the same month in June.

Apple has argument that, till now multitasking drains the battery of the iPhone very quickly and as an alternative to that they introduced Push Notification service in iPhone OS 3.0 as a workaround. But it lacks in meeting requirements like internet radio based iPhone apps like Pandora hat should be running in the background.

Now we have to wait to see how Apple implements the solution along with allowing third arty iPhone apps to run in background. The solution they implemented in iPhone’s touch screen interface was perfect.

As already pointed out, we have third party multitasking applications like ProSwitcher, BackGrounder, Multiflow etc for jailbroken iPhone devise.

Do you want to customize your incoming SMS alert tone? All you need to do is follow the following steps and have a Jailbroken iPhone.

Using Custom SMS Alert Tone

Step 1: You need to have some sound clip to be used as an alert. This can be in your iPhone or you can open iTunes and add it to your iTunes library.

Step 2: If you are a Windows user, press Ctrl and open Preferences on your iTunes library.

And if you are using Mac, press Cmd to open Preferences on your iTunes library.

Step 3: Click the Import Setting button in General Tab.

Step 4: You have to now select ‘AIFF coder’ from the drop down menu in the ‘Import Using’ option.

Step 5: Now right click the on the sound clip you wish to set as a tone in the music library to Create AIFF Version. This will create a duplicate version of the sound clip you created.

Step 6: The duplicate version of the sound clip now needs to be put back on the desktop and renamed as sms-received6.caf. Actually anyone of the six incoming SMS tone slots can be used, from sms-received1.caf to sms-received6.caf.

Step 7: Press Settings > WiFi and tap the blue arrow against your WiFi network. Note down your iPhone’s IP address. All this is done in your iPhone Springboard.

Step 8: Launch Fugu from your application founder and enter SSH credentials. Remember that your username should be root.

Step 9: You will have to enter your password in the next screen to authenticate. If not sure about your password, you may use ‘alpnie’

Step 10: Now open the GoTo window and enter ‘/System/Library/Audio/UISounds/. Select Remotely and click Go.

Step 11: On the right plane of the Window, look out for the sound clip sms-received6.caf. You have to now rename the sound clip to sms-received6.caf.bak. This can be done by right clicking or Control-click on the file.

Step 12: Drag the sound clip from left pane and bring it to right pane. An easier way to perform the same task is to use the DiskAid tool to copy the sound clip to UISounds folder.

Step 13: Reboot your iPhone and go to Settings > Sounds > Next Text Message.

Step 14: Now select the sound clip in the list and start using it. sms-received6.caf if you had used the sixth slot.

Step 15: You now have a custom incoming Alert tone for your iPhone.

As reported earlier by one of our authors (Sanix) Jailbreak And Unlock Latest IPhone 3.1.3 With Sn0wbreeze 1.4, now is the time to guide you through to jailbreak iPhone 2G, 3G and iPhone 3GS on latest iPhone firmware 3.1.3 using Sn0wbreeze – V1.3. Here I would like to mention that iPhone 3GS users with older bootrom (non-MC model) will be able to jailbreak successfully, on the other hand iPhone 3GS users who have upgraded to the stock 3.1.3 still need to wait.

What all you need is:

· Sn0wbreeze – V1.3

Step 4:

Sn0wbreeze will create the custom jailbroken .ipsw file for your version of iphone that will be restored in later steps using iTunes.

Step 5:

Now use the same old procedure to restore your iPhone to this custom firmware. For new users, open iTunes, click your device as can be seen in the sidebar and then press and hold “Shift” key (from the keyboard) and click “Restore” button. You will get a pop up window asking you select your custom firmware. Select your custom firmware that was created in the previous steps and click on “Open”.

Step 6:

That is all for you, now iTunes will do the rest to install jailbroken 3.1.3 OS on your device. During installation your iPhone will show a progress bar pointing out installation progress. Once custom firmware is installed successfully your device will automatically reboot and here you go, your iPhone is now running on jailbroken 3.1.3 firmware.
