Yet another good news for iPhone and iPod Touch users, Redsn0w 0.9 to jailbreak iPhone with 3.1.2 Firmware has been released today. It is a cross platform jailbreaking tool for iPhone just like blackra1n, PwnageTool and sn0wbreeze.With Redsn0w now you can easily jailbreak, unlock and customize iPhone and iPod Touch. Redsn0w 0.9 beta 3 tool is for both Windows and Mac.

As we talked earlier that Redsn0w is similar to some other jaibreaking tools, but if you are facing any problems with other jailbreaking tools you can try redsn0w. However, Redsn0w 0.9 beta 3 only reboot the “late model” iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch with MC serial number and you have to jailbreak iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch with redsn0w 0.9 every time you wish to reboot them. Redsn0w 0.9 beta 3 doesn’t provide support to the latest version of iPod Touch 3G.

  • With Redsn0w now you can easily jailbreak, unlock and customize iPhone and iPod Touch except iPod Touch 3G.
  • It will also jailbreak iPhone OS 3.0 and 3.1.2
  • Redsn0w 0.9 beta 3 also installs Cydia and open source package manager.
  • If you need a carrier unlock, redsn0w will handle iPhone 2G by itself. For iPhone 3G/3GS, use Cydia after you’re jailbroken to install ultrasn0w (baseband 04.26, preferred) or blacksn0w (baseband 05.11).
  • RedSn0w 0.9 beta 3 will modify your current file system, so your existing baseband, data and applications should remain intact
  • Redsn0w 0.9 beta 3 only reboot the “late model” iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch with MC serial number but you are currently restricted to “tethered” rebooting.
  • Available for Windows and Mac; Customizations include boot logos, recovery logos, and “verbose” boot.
